Building Reconstruction Project

A vintage photo circa 1960's shows the the station with our 1939 Sanford Pumper.  Today's Fire Trucks and our needs have changed greatly, but you will notice that the station has remained virtually unchanged.

BUILDING CONSTRUCTION INFO

10/15/02 - Voters approve building project funding by more than 100 votes.

8/03 - Department Members demolish existing station

9/18/03 - Contractors and Board of Commissioners meet to start project

9/24/03 - Construction Begins

11/22/03 - The Members of the Palenville Fire Department Inc. present $25,000.00 donation towards the construction project to the Palenville Fire District

9/20/04 - Phase I of moving in begins - Apparatus is now stationed at new Firehouse
